OUT AND ABOUT: THE GARMENT DISTRICT AND THE JACOBSON

Last week, the lovely Jess of 26 & Not Counting organized a fun blogger get together when she won a private shopping event for herself and a few others at the Kansas City boutique, The Garment District.  It was wonderful to reconnect with all these sweet ladies who I met at Go Blog Social a few months ago. 

KC Garment District really treated us well with champagne and so many beautiful things to check out.


Besides how fun they are, one of the biggest reasons I love hanging out with fellow bloggers is because they don't think I'm weird by all the pictures I take.  They're taking them, too!


From the boutique, we headed to The Jacobson for dinner.  I had never been there before, so I'm glad I know about it now.  The cute patio, the drinks, the food!  Everything was amazing.

Ashley and I enjoyed the same delicious cocktail and bonded over our love of KU.

 One of the things Jess mentioned in her recap of the night was how sweet and genuine everyone was, and I wholeheartedly agree.  As an adult, it can be really difficult to make friends, not to mention it's intimidating walking into a situation where you don't know people that well.  This group of ladies, though, was so welcoming and friendly.  It was refreshing to be around such positivity, and it was great to talk blogging and ask those questions that you don't know who else to ask, like how do you regram an Instagram picture.

    I love all of the photos you took! This was such a great time and I'm so glad that we connected at GBS :) This is probably the first group of gals I've met in KC after living here for 2 years (everyone else I had known beforehand) and I'm super thankful for that! I'll be seeing you this Thursday, riiight?!

    That's so wonderful! There are a couple Chicago networks but it's hard to strike the balance between a solid group and one that's a little too large to feel comfortable in at first. This event looks so lovely.
