HALLOWEEN: BATMAN FOREVER

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know we went to a costume party last weekend dressed as the Batman Forever ensemble and had an amazing time!  We had the Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Batman, Batgirl, and Robin.  As we're getting older, we don't have many of these late night shenanigans anymore, but last Saturday was the exception. Man, was that fun to cut loose and dance the night away all while being dressed up in hilarious costumes.

I'd say the biggest transformation goes to Wade when he turned himself into The Joker.  He's all about authenticity in his costumes.  No wigs or store bought costumes for him.  He even made that green vest by hot gluing green fabric over another vest.  He's probably craftier than I am and his skills with a glue gun far exceed my own.
My mom made my costume and even sewed together a black and red shirt for Harley Quinn, The Joker's girlfriend.  There's a great tutorial online if anyone is interested for next year.  Thanks Mom!
Before we went to the party, we stopped by my brother's house for some candy and pre-party pictures.  Looks like Batman and Robin buried the hatchet with Joker.
In their backyard, they have two GIANT spiderwebs that are so cool.  They're perfect for snaring unsuspecting trick or treaters and stealing their candy:)
Spooky!
Then it was party time.
We won 1st place for group costume!
Then I got to play the tambourine on stage to celebrate.  Sidenote: I have terrible rhythm.
We decided to take our act on the road and hit up The Sandbar, where I proceeded to take close to 100 blurry and terrible photos, like this gem.
Wait a minute, it's just really artistic, right?  That's exactly what I was going for:)

It was one of those nights everyone needs once in a while.  Carefree and fun, with no concern about tomorrow and just enjoying the night.  Win win.
