DID YOU EVER NOTICE....

...how the street shines like sparkling diamonds after it rains and the sun hits it just right?

...how a song can transport you through space and time?

...how your camera comes close, but can't quite capture all the colors and beauty of a moment ?

...how finishing a really good book can feel sad, like you're losing a friend?

...how every day you swear you're going to clean the house, and then you don't?

...how sometimes it's hard to do simple things and then once you actually do them, you wonder why it took you so long?

...how today is that good 'ol day that you'll look longingly back on tomorrow and say, "remember when"?

What have you been noticing recently?

  1. Yes, I totally agree about the book part, I often reread just to get my dose of the characters I love again.

  2. No, the camera never really can capture how awesome a place is. Angel and I really had a moment of noticing that when we were in the jungle in Hawaii and I wanted to take a picture but the photo just couldn't contain how cool that spot was!

    1. I'm glad you feel that way, too! It makes me marvel at how awesome our eyes truly are to take in all this beauty that can't quite be reproduced. Hope you're having a great day!

  4. I've been noticing that I only have 2 years left with Sharidyn before kindergarten. It just hit since everything is back to school right now. I typically plan out our weeks as far as where we go and what play dates, but I'm making it a point to ask Sharidyn where she wants to go. Oh, and I tell myself I'm going to clean the house all the time. :)

    1. She's growing up so fast! It's hard to imagine she'll be in school soon. I wish they could make self cleaning houses. That's the dream:)

  5. What a beautiful post, you're absolutely right, I notice these things too. I find the anticipation of something I don't want to do is often worse (and longer-lived) than the actual doing of it. I hope you guys both have a lovely weekend Kari. CJ xx

    1. Thank you so much, CJ:) Even though I know it to be true, it's still hard to bite the bullet on some things. The weekend was good, but much too short. Hope you had a great one as well, sweet friend!

  6. The book one really resonates with me, Kari! It's great to know someone else feels exactly the way I do, and you even used the word 'friend' as I have done when describing that feeling :)
