My birthday was almost a month ago, but I didn't want to miss out on documenting what a great time it was. Today is part one of the walk down memory lane.
On my actual birthday, I took the day off of work and my mom and I headed down to the
39th Street West area of Kansas City to shop and eat the day away.

We also visited a locally owned bookstore called
Prospero's Books. This place is a must see if you're ever in the area. The books are stacked high inside the old building with metal tiled ceiling and some see through parts in the floor so that you can see the many more books below. I've found some treasures here in the past.
After shopping, we got hungry and went to get some lunch at a diner nearby. The receipt just happened to come with a coupon to the ice cream place down the street, so we had to get some. Especially because it was called
Miami Ice and looked like it was straight out of late 80s. I need to take Wade back here in the summer and have him wear an all white suit with no socks. Don't know what I'm talking about? See

Then my mom and I found this hilarious cutout promoting Anchorman 2. Would have made a great Christmas card.
We topped the night off with dinner at a Mexican restaurant with Wade and my parents and rang in another birthday with some margaritas. Perfect end to a perfect day.
